In these challenging economic times, many Americans are faced with employment-related legal problems they’ve never had to deal with before. Hard-working people are being terminated, losing benefits, being treated differently or harassed by their employers, often in the name of efficiency, competitiveness and cost-cutting.
As an employee, you still have rights.
If you feel like you’ve been wrongfully terminated, illegally discriminated against, losing benefits that you’re entitled to, not getting the representation you bargained for form your union, or if you’re an employer getting sued by a former employee for some alleged wrongdoing, you need a qualified labor and employment attorney who you can trust.
Let us help you find the qualified, prescreened employment attorney who is right for you.
The Brooklyn Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service is Brooklyn’s oldest and largest attorney referral service, and is the only referral service in Brooklyn that has been certified by the American Bar Association.
We can refer you to an attorney in any of the five Boroughs of New York, as well as the neighboring Counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, and Westchester.
We have over 150 prescreened lawyers with expertise in virtually all areas of the law. Each lawyer on our panel must meet or exceed very high standards of experience and qualifications.

Our prescreened attorneys have on average over 10 years of experience and are continually being evaluated for customer satisfaction by our staff of counselors.
What Does It Cost?
There is a nominal $25 consultation fee for labor and employment matters, which entitles you to up to one-half hour with the attorney to whom you were referred. The attorney will not charge you any additional fee during this first 30-minute meeting. This administrative fee is payable by cash or money order.
After the first meeting with the attorney, you should discuss with the lawyer the cost of additional advice or representation. There are no further charges to you from the LRS and you are under no obligation to hire the labor/employment lawyer to whom you have been referred.
