In New York, elevators are everywhere you go throughout your day. We all ride them countless times each week. But did you know that elevators play a role in injuring 17,000 people and killing 30 each year in the U.S.?
Those working around, in or near elevators are most at risk, as are passengers who are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. There are strict mechanisms in place to ensure the regular maintenance and operation of elevators but things can and sometimes do go wrong, anyway.
If you have been injured in an elevator-related accident, it’s important for you to speak with a lawyer who is experienced in navigating all the issues surrounding those responsible for your injury and will be dedicated to making sure your rights are protected while you fully recover.
The Brooklyn Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service is Brooklyn’s oldest and largest attorney referral service, and is the only referral service in Brooklyn that has been certified by the American Bar Association.
We can help.
We can refer you to a personal injury attorney in any of the five Boroughs of New York, as well as the neighboring Counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, and Westchester.
We have over 150 prescreened lawyers with expertise in virtually all areas of the law. Each injury lawyer on our panel must meet or exceed very high standards of experience and qualifications.
